Wow. Imagine a home made 12 hour slow cooked pot roast, then keep the insanely good flavor without being too overpoweringly rich- all while being tucked inside of a crispy shell topped with delicious sauce and little crispy white noodle looking things. I licked my plate clean.

Chef Masaru Fukuda delivers an extraordinary fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavors at Pacha Nikkei, where the culinary creativity truly shines. We visited during happy hour, and David, our waiter, was attentive and precise, ensuring everything was on point. The Cucumber Picante kicked things off with a refreshing crunch, infused with chili, garlic, and a perfect balance of sesame and sake-soy vinaigrette. The Goza Frita---crispy pork dumplings---was packed with flavor, complemented by Tatsu sauce and the subtle richness of Kosher aioli, Bonita flakes, and nori. The Anticichos de Corazon were a revelation, with tender beef heart skewers and a vibrant huancaina sauce. The texture of the golden Yukitas (fried yuca sticks) paired beautifully with the same huancaina and huacatay. From the sushi side, the Maguro Maki was a standout, with fresh tuna, crispy shallots, and a delightful rocoto aioli. The Spicy Salmon Maki had a zesty kick, balanced by chili, garlic, and fresh cilantro. Finally, the Mini Ceviche Classico brought it all together, with fresh mahi-mahi in a tangy Leche de Tigre, accentuated by sweet potato puree. Chef Fukuda's mastery is evident in every bite. This is a must-visit for anyone craving bold, inventive flavors.

We had been wanting to try this place since it opened and are so clad we finally made the time to do so. We will be back to try more dishes! We had a small plate, a ceviche, and the Arroz Negro con Mariscos. Everything was so good. We really enjoyed the different flavor profile. The yuzu sauce in the ceviche was wonderful. The squid ink rice was the uniform and creamy. The miso marinated cod was great. We cannot wait to go back and try other dishes. If this were located in the heights it would have a following, however I am glad to have this gem on this side of town.
